Please arrive to class 10 minutes early. This will allow you the time to connect with community, set up your space, and ground.

How early should I arrive to class?

No, you don’t have to sign up before arriving to class, but it is recommended. This allows the teacher to set up the space according to how many people are coming.

Do I have to sign up for a class before I arrive?

YES! Always share with your instructor if you are experiencing any pain, are recovering from an injury or surgery, and if you’re pregnant. Before each class, you will be asked how you are feeling and if there are any areas of the mind and body that need extra care that day. Please feel free to talk to the instructor privately before class begins if there are concerns you don’t wish to share in front of the class. We are here to support you!

Should I tell my instructor about any pain, injuries or if I'm pregnant?

Absolutely! There are several classes on the schedule that are beginner friendly. The Shala is a studio that meets the person where they are in the present moment. Modifications, props, and support from the teachers will always be available with each class offering. Private sessions are also available upon request, and it is highly recommended as you enter your yoga journey. Please call if you have any questions about this.

I've never done yoga before; is there a class I can attend as a beginner?

When do the doors lock before class begins?

Yes, please remove your shoes when you enter The Shala. This is to keep the studio hygienic. Please pay attention to where you walk and avoid stepping on other students' yoga mats and props.
